My mother always used to have flowers in the living room when I was I child. Most of the times we used to go pick them in the country. What ever the season we could always make a beautiful bouquet out of what natures provided us with.
In Feng-Shui, the Chinese ancient practice of arranging the pieces in living spaces in order to create balance, fresh cut flowers are used to bring joy in a Home. Flowers are living chi, they are believed to “unstick” energies and instantly enhance the mood of a room. I think my mother, like so many of us probably, intuitively new this too.
In Vaastu Shastra, the Indian traditional system of architecture, flowers also represent and infuse good energies in spaces. Specific flowers have specific meaning and use. In India, in China or in many other cultures flowers are more than ornaments they carry meaning and impact the energies of a space.
The same goes with floral illustrations. The Art you put in your Home shouldn’t only be considered for its aesthetics as it can influence your mood and the general energies of your home.
